Our Code

At Dowlais, being accountable means being responsible for our actions, but it also means acting responsibly.

To ensure that everyone working for Dowlais understands what is expected of them, we have adopted Our Code. This explains how our people do the right thing. It sets out the standards and behaviours we expect of all our employees and workers, whatever their job and wherever they are located, without exception. It’s there to guide how our people behave, how they do their jobs and how they interact with other employees and stakeholders.

Our Code explains how we:

• respect and protect each other and our business
• behave ethically and lawfully
• care for our communities and our world

Our business units have adopted their own versions of Our Code and these fundamentally shape how they operate. We regularly train our people on Our Code and their responsibilities as representatives of Dowlais.

Our suppliers

Our suppliers contribute to the success of our businesses. We also expect them to exhibit the same ethical and compliance standards. Our Supplier Code of Conduct explains the expectations we have of our suppliers to do the right thing. It applies globally to all our suppliers, regardless of what and where they supply to us and irrespective of any conflicting local business practices or social customs. Our businesses have adopted their own versions of our Supplier Code of Conduct, for use with their suppliers.
